Scid vs. PC is a powerful chess GUI and toolkit. It includes several well known chess engines and can be used to play on the Internet with FICS, or even automate computer chess tournaments. Additionally, it has extensive database and PGN file handling capabilities.

Release Notes: This Windows-only update includes recent Tournament changes (with the Ponder-On feature) and fixes some annoying configuration file gremlins.


Release Notes: This release has some nice new features for the Free Internet Chess widget. Players can now observe their friends' game(s) while playing one themselves, and also load previous games for analysis using "smoves". Other notable additions include win/draw/loss bargraphs in the Tree Window, clickable Tablebase moves, and UCI Game and Tournament improvements. The Spelling.ssp file has been updated to January 2012.
